Many people have different expectations of what a psychic reading will be like, so below I've listed things you should know before you decide to have a reading with anyone.
Many people expect psychics to accurately tell them their future, please know that God and the spirits will never give you a step by step guide. You're on this earth plane to learn and spiritually grow. Without these lessons, it would be pointless being here.
A true psychic reading should contain advice and guidance on any questions or concerns you have and the issues they see around you.
A psychic cannot guarantee that you'll get an answer to your questions or concern. This can sometimes be because it isn't that important and it won't be applicable to your future.
A psychic cannot guarantee that they'll give you the answers you like.
Spirit will sometimes only give you a broad answer to your question or...... it may not make sense to you as it may apply to your future. For example, you may ask spirit when will you emigrate, but your destiny is to stay where you are, and the reading shows a promotion which will bring about a new career. You may feel unfulfilled, because you have no plans to stay where you are, so it doesn't make sense to you. When this happens, people tend to blame the psychic, however most of the time it's hard to take what's given in a reading because we're not planning on the changes given and we can't place or see ourselves meeting the type of person described.
Advice from the spirits is given to enhance and help you advance on your souls journey.
A true psychic will not make decisions for you.
Lucky Numbers/Dates: I recently had a telephone call from someone asking me if I could predict the lottery numbers for that evening's draw. If I could predict these I'd be one of the richest people in the world, as would other psychics. If you believe in lucky numbers and want to find out yours look to numerology and astrology as a way of being able to help you more.
How to get the most out of a reading
Don't throw away your money on having a reading done, if there's nothing specific you want to know. I've had many clients come and say I just want to know what the future holds for me.
When this happens, it's hard for spirit and the psychic to give you a fulfilling reading. Your future is such a vast subject which ranges from romance, career, opportunities, hopes, dreams, finance, family, health, expectations. Where does spirit start to give you all the guidance and advice you need?
Don't have unrealistic expectations of your psychic or your reading. We're not God, we don't know the answers to every life detail about you.
Make yourself a list of the things you want to know. Choose a day when you're relaxed and feel open to hear what has to be said.
If you're depressed, taking drugs, feel unwell or have just had an argument with someone, don't have a reading as your energy and feelings affect your reading. If you're feeling negative you may well end up with a negative reading, because your psychic will be able to pick up your energies. It's OK to have a reading if you're in a crisis as long as you're open to the advice and guidance that's being given.
If you have to postpone your reading, always be courteous to let your psychic know, as you could stop someone else who's in great need of advice and guidance getting the help they need.
Choose a psychic who you've taken the time to talk to and feel comfortable with. Just because your friend had a good reading, doesn't mean that you'll get the same.
Your psychic should be able to provide you with information and guidance about your situation or concerns but remember, no psychic is 100% accurate. Use the advice and guidance given to help yourself and leave behind anything you feel is inappropriate.
No true psychic will guarantee that they can fix your problems. Any psychic who claims they can, is a fraud. Don't allow yourself to be told you have bad energy around you, or you're cursed and they can remove this for you for an additional fee.
Don't expect your psychic to know everything. They're not a mind reader. If you want a truly accurate reading, tell them what you want to know without going into details. For example, I want to know if my marriage will end in divorce. Your psychic should then be able to tune into your situation and give you more details about what they see around you.
Your reading goes very quickly, so get the most out of it by being direct.
Don't waste your time trying to test your psychic. Using false names, removing jewellery or with-holding information will result in you getting a poor reading because, even a true psychic will find it hard to channel anything for you. Alternatively, you could find the psychic spending the whole of your reading discussing your past which results in you wasting your money because you haven't learnt anything new.
Work with your psychic, don't sit there in silence, if you can accept what the psychic is telling you , let them know. If you can't accept what's being said, tell them and ask them to explain it a little more for you.
Look on any negative points as advanced warning so you can either avoid them or soften the experience. I.E. six months from now a psychic sees a significant financial loss. By preparing for a financial hard time by saving money now, you could end up avoiding the issue altogether.
Don't be disappointed if your reading wasn't relevant to what you wanted to know. It may be that spirit wanted you to focus on another area. I.E. You wanted to know when you'd meet your soul mate, but the reading asks you to go on a journey of self-discovery and learn to be happy with yourself.
Spirit will sometimes give you what you need, rather than what you want. By going on a journey of self-discovery and learning to be happy with yourself, this may bring about the possibility of a more rewarding relationship that's built on mutual respect and love, instead of your relationships being on a needy and insecure basis.
Be prepared for answers you don't like.
Would you rather a psychic give you false hope or... would you prefer for them to give you the truth along with some advice and guidance on how best to deal with the situation at hand? If you're told something you didn't like, it doesn't necessarily make it a bad or poor reading.
Truthfully look at the reading and ask yourself what you're true purpose was in having a reading. What positive things came out of it and what you've learnt from the experience.
Use your reading as a way for learning more about yourself and your life now and use the information given to make better informed decisions.
Remember that you're a free spirit and you have free will and you ultimately control your destiny.
